An Innovative Design Project. The redesign of L’Unità, the historic newspaper founded by Antonio Gramsci in 1924, was carried out in 2008 at Cases i Associats, a renowned editorial design studio based in Barcelona, under the creative direction of one of the founding members of Wenceslau Studio.
The project introduced a compact tabloid format, designed to provide a more practical and modern reading experience. This change enhanced the organization of visual space, elevating the content and its hierarchy. The logo was also updated, retaining a strong connection to tradition while gaining greater prominence and personality within the new design.
The redesign allowed the newspaper to meet the needs of a contemporary audience while preserving its historical identity.
